The Peace Tower is due to be lit from John Lennon's birthday October 9th to the anniversary of his death December 9th.

Yoko Ono in the New York Post: "This is an answered prayer because my first time in John's house he talked about building a lighthouse. I never knew how to conceptualise that. I never believed this could be reality. "Someday this tower will be lit 365 days for 24 hours, but for now I'm not pushing it. Forever is a long time."

yoko ono has sent a message of support to the monks in burma
UTV Internet: John Lennon's widow urges the monks - leaders of peaceful opposition to the military junta - to "stay alive in peace and health". The Support the Monks` Protest in Burma Facebook group was set up on September 19 and more than 300,000 people have now joined. Yoko`s message read: "There is no way we will forget you. Now that your work of letting the world know is done, I wish you to stay alive in peace and health."
