might benefit from his chronicle of a key 1960s moment." Riflemaker

piece II by yoko ono From Japanese JoongAngIlbo (July 2006), translation
by Mikihiko Hori: "Avant-garde artist Yoko Ono composed a cherishing memory
tune to praise the initiator of video art, Nam June Paik, who passed away on January
this year. The name of the tune performed at the Hirshhorn Smithsonian Museum
in Washington, DC, USA, in the afternoon on July 21, 2006 (local time) is "Secret
Piece II." Yoko Ono, who was remembering that July 20 was Nam June Paik's
birthday, composed this avant-garde musical tune by remembering her friend. Yoko
Ono attracted attention by using the performance technique for beating the bowstring
of the contrabass with the stick of the drum as if symbolizing the world of Mr.
Nam June Paik's original video art. Like the work of the deceased who had walked
several decades ahead of the mainstream of modern art, light and clear melody
of this tune sounds comfortable. This cherishing memory tune can be heard on Solo
Bass Website. Remembering
