lennon’s family is suing for using the song imagine without permission
Liverpool Echo (April 25th 2008): "The former Beatle's widow, Yoko Ono and his sons Sean and Julian have filed a legal action in Manhattan against the producers of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. Yoko Ono says the film gives the impression she approved the song's use, leading to accusations from internet bloggers that she was “selling out”."

According to Cinema Blend, "Ono’s complaint says that she was never approached about the rights to use the footage."
