yoko ono visits amnesty international to celebrate instant karma success
Press release: "Yoko Ono will visit Amnesty International's global headquarters in London on 24 September to celebrate the success of a double CD of classic John Lennon songs released earlier this year to raise money for Amnesty and to help focus attention on the human rights crisis in Darfur.

The 9 October release of the Instant Karma digital box set will include all the double CD tracks, plus previously unreleased material exclusively recorded for the project, bringing the total to over 50 tracks."

john & yoko: a new york love story
A new book with photographs by Allan Tannenbaum and a foreword by Yoko Ono will be available on October 9th 2007. "As one of the few photographers with whom John and Yoko were close, Tannenbaum was privileged to be able to capture many intimate moments between the two. John cherished these images of Yoko and was moved by their beauty and grace."

dream power john lennon super live 2007
Information from Miki: "The annual concert event, "Dream Power John Lennon Super Live 2007" will be held at Budokan, Tokyo on December 8th, 2007. This is the 7th anniversary of this event, and is the 27th anniversary of John's death. Many Japanese artists get together to sing John's songs for this event in order to aid the building of schools in Asia and Africa. Usually, the "Dream Power John Lennon Super Live" concert is to be held around the time of John's birthday, October 9th. But this year, for the first time, the concert will be held on the anniversary of his death, December 8th."

News 10 Now (August 18th 2007): "The work of one local art professor is now in the hands of a famous activist. An award designed by SUNY Potsdam Professor Marc Leuthold was presented to Yoko Ono in recognition of her creative and distinguished work.

give peace a chance dvd to be released in august
Pitchfork Media (August 9th 2007): "On August 27, Fabulous Films will give a UK release to Give Peace a Song, a DVD document of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Give Peace a Chance" performance from the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal in 1969."

From the press release: "In this new 45 minute production contains exclusive rare film from the archive of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation with outtakes from John and Yoko's own movie of the event."

A two-CD, 23-song set will be released by Warner Bros. on June 12. Additional Lennon covers by Canadians Finger Eleven, The Waking Eyes, David Usher, Barenaked Ladies and K-OS — as well as Duran Duran, Deftones, Ozzy Osbourne and others — will be made available as digital downloads via online retailers."
